I don't see Cabaye as a number 10 at all tbh.

Given that I don't watch much Serie A, I looked up a few videos of him today.

Most seem to show him scoring goals that the keeper completely fluffs.

Well, I suppose you are correct in that properly he would more of a no. 8 but in our line-up, the classical 10 plays in behind/ in line with the wide forward as so:

He's a bit pointless. Marquinhos and Lamela were the 'big' ones to get from Roma this summer. If we're looking for a squad player I'd rather sign Michael Bradley.

Of all the good players at Roma we go for the cheapest one of course. Isn't Lamela like 73x better?

he needs to be 75x better in order to improve our elite squad though. we lose a big star each summer and roma came in and took gervinho with his perfect hairline from us and now they want to sell us the player that is going to be kept out of the team because of gervinho coming to town.

it's hard to get those kind of players when wolfsburg is on the case. how are we supposed to compete with that? you all aren't realistic. we go the midget route because that's what we can afford.

Still gutted we missed out on Gustavo. We could have started the season with Gustavo and Higuain ffs. Spending the last 9 days looking for a creative winger and maybe central defensive cover but instead we're fannying about with lowball bids for Cabaye and the likes.
