This would make me a happy Klaus.
Atsuto Uchida
- - and me a happy Asterix.
And me a happy man.
who is this fella? never seen him play, but he seems to send people weak in the knees whenever he's mentioned
Japan's regular starting right back. Saw him a few times in WC qualifiers. Tommy Oar popped past him to loop a flukey cross in for Australia's goal recently. Uchida is a very good, fast full back who can get forward. Maybe not as tough as Sagna, but would be a decent option.
It's not saying much but he absolutely ripped Santos to pieces when we played Schalke in the CL. Looks like a typical Japanese player really; fast, plenty of stamina and technically sound.
Anything more believable than goal.com?!
He would basically be like Nacho, but on the right side.
In other words: want!
But im sure its Goal.com bs.
Not sold on him defensively, same goes for Schalke's LB(Fuchs), and they added Santana to their defence this summer
Very dodgy back 4 IMO
i watched Schalke - Wolfsburg yesterday. that Schalke back four was a shambles. they were not picking up players at all. Wolfsburg were making runs from midfield - Naldo had free passage. Perisic also had lots of space. was saddening to see Gustavo in Wolfsburg gear
Haven't watched him but he made the Bundesliga Team of the Season
That fucking chief correspondent on goal.com has never ever got anything right. As trustable as a piece of shit.
I'd take him in a a heartbeat.

of course. I'd also take Messi in a heartbeat, but we ain't going for Messi and neither are we going for this guy. Ain't happening.
Yeah, having TWO good RBs is totally out of the question. Not how we roll.

If we sign him it'd be because Sagna is taking up CB position.
We won't though.

We signed Sagna when Eboué had just had a strong season and was one of the most promising fullbacks in Europe.
Not beyond the realms of possibility.
