They want another bid, more like it. They've turned a single bid into a media circus because they want it to look like we forced their hands, but Newcastle would love to cash in as soon as possible. That's what their club is centered around at the moment.

They clearly want to sell right now but we're not biting. We'll probably make the same offer on deadline day and tell them to take it or leave it.

As usual Newcastle want to cash in at every opportunity.

If Ramsey/Wilshere are hurt long term (doubt it) could see this...otherwise meh.

I would like us to get him. I like our centre mids, but too many with fitness/injury doubts, so we need the extra cover. Don't think we need the mythical 6foot 4 beastly defensive mid. He'd be a quality replacement for Arteta and would fit in with our style perfectly.

Arteta's positioning is almost faultless, Cabaye's positioning is mostly all over the place. Overrated defensively because he flies into tackles and runs everywhere.

I'm delighted we are not getting this guy. Can pass but doesn't have the footwork to play further up the pitch, nor does he have the defensive nous to replace Arteta.
