Well thank god we have an adequate replacement for Gibbs in Monreal then, right?
But yeah, Arteta looked to be in a bad way, i hope Wenger will not fuck around now and just buys someone really good.
Any news today on Arteta?
Foot hurts but hair is fine
Shad Forsythe is not off to a good start with muscle injuries to both Gibbs and Sanogo after one week.

Ospina out before them too.
Forsythe would have to be divine to prevent those two from getting injured, such is their record.
I think Ospina was injured during the World Cup as well
Will definitely earn his keep here, that's for sure
The muscle injuries must certainly be the biggest concern with Arsenal when it comes to limit injuries in the squad. In that sense Forsythe is off to a bad start; it becomes even more troublesome that these are two players who have NOT been at the WC and thus having the benefit of a full pre-season.
The extent of Arteta’s injury will become clearer once scan results have been assessed on Thursday but the club expect him to be out for at least two weeks and do not anticipate him featuring until after next month’s international break.

I'm glad it doesn't seem to be more serious. I was fearing a bad ankle ligament injury.
I wonder who'll get the armband against Everton now. Koscielny?

They weren't, but he was...
Wouldn't we realistically have to wait for a full season anyway until we can spot any form of improvement that can't be put down to other surrounding factors?
Amy Lawrence wrote a good piece about Forsythe a few weeks back: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/aug/09/arsene-wenger-arsenal-new-fitness-coach-shad-forsythe-germany-world-cup
I remember Löw bigging him up a few years back too. Said he was every bit as important to the evolution of the German national team as himself and Klinsmann.
Yes. Also, word going around is also that possibly some of our side's supposed physical sluggishness could be due to his changed fitness drills rather than Tony Colbert's marine sergeant type drills which kept players superfit early in the season and caused breakdowns in the second half. Don't know how true that is likely to be (am as far from a fitness expert as could possibly be), so let's see how the team develops.
Carrying some heft, Woolley? Do you play the makelele role?

Thats interesting. It'll be really interesting to see if that works out. If it does we'll have to come up with new excuses for not winning the league.
I already have a good one: Wenger neglecting the need for a striker and a midfielder. 🙂
Edit: 🙁
Unfortunately, quite some. I play the "lumbering centre half who is likely to fall over at an inappropriate time and present a great chance to the opposition striker" role.

Highly likely to be Flamini if BFG doesnt start.
Kos is probably 3rd captain. He took the armband from arteta when he went off injured.
