Who knows exactly what is wrong but fitness side has been talked about as the main reason. Something about our preseason training being too vigorous and during the season our players are overtrained as well. This building up to players accumulating fatigue and thus being more prone to injury. We do pick up a lot of soft tissue injuries so there is something going on. The Mirror's John Cross is close to Arsenal and hinted recently that he thinks problem is with fitness coaches rather than medical side of things

so if man yoo's problems were a moyes issue, why isn't ours a wenger issue? it's his pre-season training program right? unless of course this new guy is coming in to dictate to wenger what's acceptable. that's the only way i can see this being an improvement.

He is at fault for not looking into this problem when clearly there is something wrong. Obviously the fitness staff should know better as the manager might not know the ins and outs of fitness methods but Wenger (and the club) should get some blame for not addressing these issues earlier.

Him missing the World Cup would be awful. Looked the best player for England today. It impacts our start too if it's serious.

We need to buy. We need to chase priorities and then get luxury signings too else it will be another season of wondering what if x and y weren't injured.

I'm worried about what another ligament damage will do to Chamberlain's development as a player. To his future as a top-level footballer even. The last one was pretty severe by all accounts.

What irks me the most was that I've been afraid that he would break down again ever since he made his comeback. When the season was over I felt such relief. I figured he would be able to start fresh next year with a full preseason and rebuild his physique from the ground up. And then this pointless fucking friendly against a pointless fucking two-bob team that no one gives two shit about comes along.

If it is ligament damage it could be anything from 4 weeks to 18 months. If.

And Invis, I don't think there's any reason to "pretty much write off Walcott for next season". Khedira did his cruciate in November and he was playing a CL final in May, for example.
