Still abit shocked by Theo's injury. Surely nobody could have seen it coming. This is the first season that I thought Theo is a very important asset for us, and he was looking good improving loads on the pitch, then this happens. World cup year as well. Can't believe his first world cup (touch wood) will be in 2018. The others are going to need to step up big time, but in terms of directness and end product we will be abit short when the going gets tough.

6 months is also a very generous estimate; I would say that 8-9 months is more realistic, and then allowance for another 6 months, at least, to reach the level he was at at the time of the injury.

I think Theo is important don't get me wrong but more than anything that just tells you about the opponent than anything else. Theo missed United away, two tough CL games against quality opposition, and a game against Chelsea with only half our first team playing . Once you take this into account and keep in mind the sample size, the difference becomes a lot less stark

Not necessarily you could argue that Theo's game could have given us an added weapon in those games?
That's the whole point - people keep going on about how we were fine without him, which rather misses the point that we could be better than fine with him as an added attacking option.

I don't think anyone thinks that he won't be missed, or that we didn't miss him when he was out. Just that we have already proven we can cope, so there's reason to be optimistic.

Between Theo's injury and making his next start against City we got 23 points from 10 league games. Average that again and we get to bout 86 points.

It's also looks like a few of our players are playing themselves into form. Jack, santi, rozza and podolski look to be sharp at the mo.

Add to that a rested ozil,brilliant Gnabry and a returning Ox, you never know... We might just cope

to be honest the moment I heard the news I felt the season go down the drain. It's like RVP all over again back in those days when he could never fucking stay uninjured.
