I am happy we are doing so again, luckily there are weekly fixtures at present. No more drafting injured players straight back in high intensity matches. Having a squad of players you can rely on helps. I am sure Arteta would have been rushed back if it was Flamini playing instead of Coquelin.

I'm certain Jack would have been back in the first team by now too.

Horrible game to watch.

Diaby always underhit his passes. Wilshere tried too hard, but looked sharp fitness-wise. Gnabry had his dangerous moments but looked very rusty overall. Crowley probably the best player on the pitch.

Just a fitness exercise for Wilshere and he didn't fade in the second half which is promising. But obviously the pace of the game was a lot, lot less intense than the usual league games. If Wilshere's finishing wasn't so shit maybe that would've been a win.

Agree that Crowley was the best player. Seemed to find it all quite easy. And if that's the general trend, it's probably not too early to push him out for a loan spell next season.

Yeah, DC is one kid I'd like to see get real game time - I could see this working (though you really never know)
and him playing real football at a very young age (first the funny cups, then more). If he's loaned next year that would be lovely.

I'm a bit baffled with the Diaby thing: how come it looks so natural to continue this "project", even when it comes to actually preparing to play? why is Diaby even considered? People were mad when we wasted time on youth playing in the first team - how is this weird interference with the team structure/balance by an absolute alien with no chance what ever to bring the type of magic that might justify such a risk simply and quietly accepted? is the emotional thing working here - "ah, poor Abu, waisted career, what might have been"?

who gives a fuck? we have football to play. We are Sanchez-ising, not reverting to broken 28 year olds who have 19 year old's experience.

Anyway, good luck to Abu. would love to see that miracle happen after all.

We're wasting time on Diaby because Wenger is going to give him a new contract. It's been obvious for a while now, judging by the way he talks about him.

I don't think Diaby will get another contract here.

I think Wenger is doing a good job at giving the press nothing to run with on this issue before the season is over.
At the end of the season i think he and Diaby will have a sit down meeting, with all cards layed out, resulting in an inevitable parting.

Important thing here is that he's not included in any list of players - not 25, not youth, emergency GK, media consultant or "ambassador".
