We absolutely need a striker though, so long as he's better than Sanogo he'd be a solid (and important) signing for the year.

With Chambo and Podolski both out we're basically fucked if Giroud picks up an injury, moving Theo up front will significantly weaken us if it means that Ryo or Gnabry will be coming in to replace him on the wing.

We need striker depth. There is no depth for either Giroud or Walcott. TGSTEL and Sanogo don't count. A quiet one year deal would be acceptable

The guy is only 27 with no serious history of injuries and a top flight resume, no way he'd settle for a 1 year deal. If we're getting him I imagine it'll be on a 3 year deal and would mean that Wenger has completely disregarded any potential future contributions from Park and Bendtner. Those two will sit around and pick up their wages until their contracts run out or a club is nice enough to take 'em of our hands. That's why I'm against this deal as surely this guy can't be significantly better than either Park or Bendtner. Take our chances until January and then go all out for a top striker that would relegate Giroud to the bench.

Most Arsenal fans would prefer that Bendtner doesn't kick another ball for us. He has insulted our club and tried to look for better to no avail. He has spurned opportunities to move elsewhere and is now just a massive anchor. Bring in Cipran

West Ham have been looking at him for the past month or so. Would imagine that they don't see him as a short term fix and there for they would be more likely to sign him. See the logic in us signing this guy but surely can't be much better than Park (I'm discounting 'the bellend-tner')?

As I said, I suspect it's WH not us.
