Ramsey was asked to carry our offensive game right after his injury though. Fabregas' boots are quite difficult to fill... Wilshere has had no such problems.

Think we would look awesome in midfield with Gustavo and Ramsey with either Cazorla or Wilshere as the third midfielder. Have Arteta as the extra man.

I have been left perplexed by some of the criticisms of Wilshere I read on this forum. He is absolutely magical deep in the midfield as a ball-carrier. Every-time he gets the ball he does something positive with it.

His problem is with the end-product. He hasn't yet added a great final pass or a shot at goal to his game. But, this has never been there with him ever since he has played in Premier League. He needs to add this to his game and for that he needs to play regularly.

I don't see what else people expect to see when they watch him.

Criticisms of his defensive side of the game aren't unfounded and that is what most complain about. As a number 10 he lacks end product at present, he lacks a final ball and that's an ability he won't develop now but the biggest problem since his return from injury is his decision making.

What is important is patience because he has immense talent.

Apparently we have signed 70% of Perez rights for 2.5m euros today, which is why he played this match. It is big news in Colombia, they are happy another of their player is playing in a top team which is only good for their NT.

Looks very disciplined, but his tackling is abit raw. Very good young player to have to understudy Arteta.

Wilshere is excellent at carrying the ball, no doubt. However, he often drives forward with the ball when the situation dictates that the better choice would be to just pass the ball. When he gets dispossessed, which happens quite a lot because he misreads the situation, he often sells his team mates short.

Confirmed rubbish mate.

He flies back tomorrow and we have not yet offered him a contract. He has impressed though. We MAY offer him one in the coming days. Also work permit is 50-50. Confirmed.

I agree with this actually. Rather bizarrely the two year injury seems to have placed expectations at a higher level than before he picked it up :/

I don't think Wilshere gets too much criticism.
He gets criticised for poor performances like any other player but for every critic, there has been a defender or two!
The only guy who seemed to lay into him was the Fabregas guy, Amstel.

He's a super effective player, I think in a good season he can score 20 odd league goals...from the wing. His only problem is that when he's not playing well he's awful. Needs to become consistent now.

You could say that his injuries, or being dropped as he was last season, have affected his consistency?
We may see something special from him if he gets a long uninterrupted run in the team.
