He does seem a pretty likeable guy despite how much he annoyed us as a player. When I went to the Emirates Cup in 2009 he emerged from the tunnel before the games and walked along the length of the sideline signing autographs and posing for photos and chatting with people. Was the only player from any of the teams to do anything like that.

Akpom is not in the first team frame, and should not be - no matter how well he did in the Asia tour. Sanogo - that one I/we don't know. But he was certainly brought here for the first team, so obviously I'd like to see him. Particularly as he seems to be Suarez' replacement :.

It was disgusting the way the fans booed him, just because they didn't have the brains nor balls to boo who was really responsible.

Eboue was terrible at the time, but he was also a fantastic character. He took it on the chin, and made a comeback very few are capable of.
And apart from that, he was always a really, really great guy, a fantastic presence in the dressing room, a cheering figure, a friend, supporting everyone, always 100% positive.
A cheerleader? mock him all you want - I think he always tried his best and was a very nice guy. How can you not like a man like that.
I was very happy he left, cos I love arsenal first, but I never, ever stopped liking him.

After Denilson, Eboue is the biggest disgrace I've seen wear an Arsenal shirt.

Countless times he put half the effort in, countless times he did not run back to cover the runner due to sheer laziness and a shit work ethic.

Guy was totally unprofessional and I don't know how anyone can back him after that pen he gave away v Liverpool.

This is elite sport, I don't care how 'funny' he is or isn't.

So glad the group of losers we had (Denilson, Eboue, Santos, and hopefully Bendtner) are slowly leaving our club.

Eboue was utterly shit, and symbolic of Wenger's general fucktardery during the 'project youth' years.

Is he a nice guy? Maybe, I don't really know, but was bloody delighted to see the back of him when he left.

He was as decent a second choice right back as they come. It was Wenger's choice to maintain defensive balance that made him play Eboue as right winger where he suffered from his inability to make decisions near the box.

Eboue is great. Tries so hard to be liked and loved, you'd have to have a heart of stone not to take to his personality.

No idea what sort of team it'll be. Don't think many of them will be starting both games - maybe Ramsey, Per, Sagna, Giroud?

Think he was decent at right back the first couple of years. Then all his playacting and inconsistency came in. With us a man down and on a yellow he blatantly dives to get a free-kick in the final of the Cl. Even though we scored from it showed how little sense he had. Further evidence losing his mind at White hart lane and being sent off within 20 minutes and that penalty to Liverpool. A great character in the dressing room by all accounts but by the end of it he was a liability on the pitch. I am glad Wenger has shorter patience now with the likes of Gervinho because players like Denilson and Eboue by the end of it were so poor and for such a prolonged period we struggled to get fees for them. Bendtner though has himself to blame. He should have moved to Germany or France developed and played regularly in a stable team and would be a more polished player.
