Great pass from Zelalem, but jesus that defender is clueless. If you can't defend on your heels you've got no business being a centreback today.
That is what sets Zelalem apart from most other talented kids.
Love seeing a player start a move so deep and then efficiently transition play like that.
There's only 3 players in our entire senior squad who do that with ease.
It was a good pass, but I'm not exactly blown away. Any midfielder worth his salt should be able to make that pass, with the defender sleepwalking like he was
I'm not a pro but I made similar passes regularly when I played actively.
And anyway no one doubts Zelalem's vision or ability to pick out a pass when he's open and a forward is making a run. It's the rest of his game that's not yet up to par.
it'll get up to par. i see him as a defensive midfielder in the future, a bruno soriano type.

BBC Sport @BBCSport Arsenal midfielder Daniel Crowley has joined Barnsley on loan.
Arsenal set to loan Isaac Hayden to Hull City. Would be the first time the player has gone out on loan. (Guardian)
Birmingham have signed Spanish midfielder Jon Toral on a season long loan from Arsenal.
I expect Crowley to do well, I have high hopes for him. The loan is only for half of a season. He will be back in January. Hayden has looked good to, so it will be interesting to see him get some games. Toral...don't think he will make it here.
We're sending out all our youngsters. Going to field a decent side in COC also then.
We have fielded mostly first team players in the COC the last few years. It is one of the ways Wenger can give games to players who can't get enough games in the more important competitions.
Apparently, Fortune, the other kid we bought with Jeff Reine-Adelaide has won man of the match in an u-19s match. He is a year younger at 16 and is also rated very highly. The double-deal for 3 Million could be a very good one for us in the long run.
Yassin Fortune looks mint
We've signed some really good youngsters this summer
Ornstein saying we're loaning Akpom to Hull as well.
Hmmm

That will be great but completely surprise. So many noises from Akpom that he wants to stay and then he gets loaned out.
Maybe Wenger saw his performance in the Emirates cup and wasn't impressed. At that time I already thought it was weird he didn't start any of the 2 matches despite scoring a hattrick in singapore.
I think he needs the games, he just won't get the playing time here. He needs to come away from Hull with at least 15 odd goals if he's going to have any chance here. Needs to show signs of being prolific.
Good opportunity for Akpom and Hayden. Hull have just been relegated and would be looking to get back up immediately. If they can make their presence felt at top echelons of Championship, they'll earn themselves a good opportunity to get a Premier League loan or an Arsenal squad position next season.
Akpom to Hull is done now. One season long loan.
