Generally thats my reaction when a youngster gets moved on but Ryo looked really good to me 2 or 3 years ago. I even watched Feyenoord a few times 😆

It's not easy to have 3 serious injuries in the space of 2 years. Ryo is pretty unlucky.

Yeah he played well at Bolton too in the prem, but never really developed because of the injuries.

When we just signed him and he then turned it on in Holland, the hype was well justified. They called him Ryodinho after 3 games ffs! He has a lot more than pace too; he is good on the ball, has tricks in his bag, shoots well, and crosses well. All of that he displayed in Holland when he was about 18, first time playing with adults. However, everything went wrong as soon as he came to England. The few times I have seen him here he actually looks worse than he did 3 years ago, and he looks really timid on the pitch. I have no idea what happened with him.

First time I had a good look at bellerin. He's a barca youth product right? Very impressive technically

His defensive qualities will improve once he gets a run of games.

First time I have managed to see Bellerin in a game where he had to defend a bit. He looks quite good at it! He needs to add some muscle though, because he looks too lightweight as it is.

Yeah he needs to get stronger. I'd like to see his defensive qualities tested more than they were today as well. But clearly good on the ball and he could make eventually make it here.

He was a nice surprise. Seemed very confident in his own ability. There was one point in the first half where he broke through, looked up and then slowed down so Sanogo could get into position before he put the cross in. He did the same thing with the assist for Campbell.

I remember while negotiating Cesc deal, we took a long time because we wanted 2 of their best prospects from their youth team. Bellerin really looks the real deal, don't understand how can Toral be so far back.

Never considered that! Maybe that is how you're supposed to pronounce it?

I'm glad Bellerin played as well as he did, it's been obvious for a long while now that he was a proper talent that had every chance of playing a lot if games for Arsenal.

Shaun O'Connor leaves his position as Brentford FC Head of Academy Recruitment and joins Arsenal
Shaun O’Connor has left his position as Brentford Football Club Head of Academy Recruitment to take up a role at Arsenal.
Shaun has been at Brentford for more than four years.
He joined the Club soon after Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, arrived at Griffin Park to oversee an upgrade of the youth development programme.
The Club now operates a Category Two Football Academy with a state-of-the-art indoor facility and just last week an Under-15 side finished fifth in the prestigious Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland, ahead of teams including Liverpool, Everton and Southampton.
Two years ago a Brentford team won the same competition.
Shaun joined Brentford around a year after leaving a role at Arsenal having previously worked at Barnet.
He was offered a senior recruitment role at the Arsenal Academy and started at the North London side earlier this month.
Ose said: “Shaun was the first person I brought to Brentford when I started.
“He has set up a recruitment network that is the envy of many clubs and we have a lot of talented youngsters at Brentford due to the work of Shaun and the scouts that worked under him.
“I would like to thank him for all he has done for Brentford Football Club and the Academy.
“He leaves our recruitment department in very good shape and I hope the fruits of his labour will be seen in the next few years with the progression of Academy players to the First Team.”

This is the person I mentioned earlier who posts in another forum which has a lot of older fans.
