i will give ozil credit for being available though. that's an underrated skill especially when you're talking about comparisons between a permacrock.

Not that it's surprising but it still kinda warms my heart to read this. Intelligence means a tremendous amount in a player and results like that bode really well for his temperament and development in the coming years.

I've never really credited that story, but I can believe he had a drug problem. I don't see how any one player who isn't a keeper or maybe a central defender takes a payoff to throw a match, just seems like an uphill task (and didn't he only come on as a sub?).

According to Jeorge Bird who covers our youth team our new batch of scholars are potentially the best in recent years, which is good to hear. I don't really know much about any of them but it would be great if we could keep the production line going, if nothing else there's money to be made there.

We're going to need a massive internal push if we want to move up in the table so that's good news.

I'm curious about Miguel Azeez personally. He seems to have good instincts that create a lot of time and space on the ball in congested mdifield areas. In the compilations I've seen he always escapes pressure without over-extending himself. One small touch here, a dribble there. Very Özil-esque.

I think Azeez looks ace too, but only in his ability to find time does he remind me of Ozil. His physicality looks great too, and he's got a good burst to escape pressure.

Azeri looks great. I watched some full games and he looks the business against the kids. The games for whatever reason seem a little slower down there, so would love to see him against real men in a year or two. This year is probably to early for him to even join pre-season.

Yes, that's what I meant. It's early days but Azeez seems more like a Busquets type of player than a #10 when you read about him. I think they're nurturing him as a #6 in the academy at the moment on the advice of Mertesacker.

Exactly. He’s been playing as a B2B but they’re training him to be DLP. When you watch him he reminds you a bit of Fabregas with how much time he has on the ball. He’s got great shooting technique as well. He’s very exciting.

I was reading that they've identified him as someone who could excel deeper in CM so there's definitely some room there for him to get some game time next season if Douzi and potentially Torreira go. He's exactly a year younger than Saka so it's not too early.
