Iwobi was a great bit of business. Attacking players with no end product are useless.

Is Guendouzi even better than Denilson? Open question. If he weren't likable, would he be under fire as well? Our CM is a sieve and a positional disaster every week.

Saka looks promising, but he'll need to discover another gear. Amazing to see Sterling now v when he was a youngster. We've had no one kick on like that.

What on earth is this post? Obviously no matter if Nelson turns out good or not we shouldn't get rid as his value will likely increase anyway, and Guendouzi is way better than Denilson.

Guendo has shown more this season, when the handbrake is off e.g when we're pushing. I thought he want adventurous enough as a player but there appears to be more to him

Gunedouzi is a serious talent. Did you not see the game today?

Based on little information, Saka has more about him than Nelson but far too early to make a definitive conclusion.

If I was Nelson I would be pissed off that I lost my starting place to a kid younger than me. I want Nelson to own the league cup game on Tue , show some personal pride.

I think Guendouzi has shown more in his first month here than Denilson has ever done in 5 years for us. No contest.

I’m a critic: there is a lack of diversity to his finishing. He is clearly good placing the ball, but doesn’t show great range of technique or power. Right now he is faster and stronger than his peers, obviously, but at the next level his physicality wouldn’t avail him much, which he seems to acknowledge in the included interview (hopefully it hasn’t been posted before - I didn’t check). Can’t argue with his goal scoring numbers though. That’s impressive for that age and level.

The step-up is massive as we have seen with Nketiah so it's not a given but I think he looks more bankable than the powder-puff diversity of Nelson, for example.
He seems a naturally strong lad so I expect him to keep that advantage when he gets man-strength and if he has the right attitude, he can develop that diversity with experience like Dries Martin who improved in his late 20s and even our very own Wright and Henry who both got better in their mid-20s.

Looking at a previous video, it's clear to see the improvement as he is now picking his spots instead of hitting and hoping.
He also still scored lots of goals when he was physically weaker a year ago.

I'm where I was with Nketiah a couple of years back: the quantity of goals is impressive, but the quality is not mind blowing. Will Balogun be able to score at similar rates in proper football? We won't know until he makes it there.

Beyond being two-footed in his finishing and obviously very quick, there is nothing about his game that stands out too much at this point.

A case of wait and see how he does when he gets some senior minutes.

I hope Emery plays him against Forest as we are light upfront but don't want Auba anywhere near this game.

Delighted with that. Keep an eye out for him. Probably the youngster I'm most excited about beyond the group on the fringes of the first team.
