How was his overall play?

I only had an audio stream but it sounded like he was a handful for Stoke to handle. Hit the post with that long-range shot in the first half, scored the 1-2 goal in the second, and might or might not have gotten a toe on the ball that went to Costa who scored the 2-2 goal and took Leeds to penalties.

This was his 4th goal in the two weeks he's been there. Two in the league cup, one in the league, one for the U23 team. He couldn't have asked for a much better start.

This is more than I’d wanted from this loan. Wanted him to go somewhere he could start every match and really contribute. Wouldn’t be getting this experience from 442 Emery. Really was the best coaching decision we could’ve made. If we don’t reintegrate him, we easily have an 8 figure player

Part of me thinks we could have used him this season. Hope we’ve got a recall clause.

He's better off there Jed. He'll come back here next season with 40 odd starts under his belt, and then we'll really see what he's made of. The amount of experience he's getting right now is invaluable and the best thing is we don't have to pay for it.

well he's a striker and balogun is only 6 months older than him and forcing him to play wide, so he should move. but if i were him i would make sure milan or juve don't have their own balogun.

I think he should be a bit patient and sign a deal when he turns 18, and if he's good we'll probably be looking at loaning him out as soon as possible. A year of regular football in League One would be better for him than sitting on the bench in Juventus's B team.

We do seem to have kept players a bit too long in the past, thinking of Smith-Rowe and Nketiah specifically in recent seasons, but we're on a path to rectify that.

Bold Tone

He only just moved to us so doesn't seem to have a lot of patience. The van Persie comparison points to a high level of technical ability as the free kicks in the video highlight so it would be a shame for us to lose him. Not a good thing to say but the better the Mavididis and Amaechis do, the more difficult it is for us to hold onto promising youngsters.

"released" in that his contract ran out, but not released in the sense that arsenal didn't want him anymore because they did and he wouldn't sign.

Makes more sense for most of them to leave, more likely to play where they go if the club owns them and has more invested in them. Also they'll get a big sign on fee when they go. And if they're good enough they get another wage bump and sign on bump when they go to a better club. And all the extra wages from those moves.
