Everytime it looks like Barton might be turning it around he goes and does something like that. Total cunt. Quite a good player though I think.

Elmander's goal for Bolton yesterday was pretty awesome:

Wonderful goal that!

Matty Burrows of Glentoran joins the likes of Messi, Nasri, Robben and Neymar in the running for the FIFA Puskas (goal of the year) Award for this effort:

I could watch that again and again. Outrageously brilliant effort.

There should be a national media campaign to try and get that to win. It'd mean so much more to that fellah than to any of the big stars. Although I've already voted Samir.

Shocking miss of the season 😆

And one of the worst goalkeepings ever. EVER

This one is pure brilliance just for the goalkeeper celebrating the penalty save as you see the ball rolling into the net in the backround 😃

😆 I love how he gets all the time in the world to take the shot and somehow manages to shoot backwards. The Youtube comments are class too:

Clever from o'shea, he knew he was going to shoot wide, so rather than hit it out for a gk, he made sure all they got was a throw-in. You can't teach that.

Nasty.

Luckily for him, compression shorts weren't used back then.

Does anyone else wish that we'd sold Vela instead of Eduardo?

nope. i hope we sell vela, too. total waste of space.

that backheel goal was crazy, the angles don't seem possible.

I got a really close look at Vela on Tuesday night, and he really does have talent. There were numerous moments in that game that showed that.

He controlled a ball on the halfway line that was dropping out of the sky, just outrageous control. He played a ball over the top of Wigan's defence, right into the path of Gibbs' overlapping run. There was the outside of the foot cross he played perfectly into van Persie. The slide rule pass that set-up Bendtner for his goal. The perfectly weighted through balls to put Theo and Nasri in one-on-one.

I've had my doubts about him previously, where he's almost coasted through games, struggled to cope with the pace and power of what's happening around him, but he showed real promise the other night. Easily the best I've seen him play - and I was there for the stupendously good hattrick against Sheffield United in the Carling Cup. He looked fitter, stronger, quicker, he worked much harder, looked more involved, more rounded technically. There's still a long way to go for him, but I wouldn't write him off just yet if I were you - he's without question a very gifted footballer.

The thing about Vela is that everybody would have talked about how brilliant he looked if he had bagged one or two of the chances he got served on a plate against Wigan. He put in a much better performance than he got credit for. It's natural to struggle when you're 20-21, but he's proven in the past that the finish and the ability to read the game is there. Since then he's shown that he's capable of adapting to various roles and formations too, which is more than you could say for most of our forwards.

People always talk about what a shame it was to see Flamini walk away for nothing and how good he was but they forget what he looked like for years. He didn't come good all of a sudden by accident. Sometimes you need to have patience with players. Fair enough if people don't want to go through the trouble of developing Vela as a footballer, but that does not make him pointless. There's a lot of talent to work with.

The funny thing about Vela is everyone was talking about how great he is and how he should get more chances earlier in the season, then he goes about a month without playing and the same people say he's not good enough and won't make it.

The guy is immensly talented, makes good runs, good finisher (most of the time), good passer, good pace, skil, technique, cross. I've seen some point to Aliadiere but he would have never seen the pass to Bendtner or have been able to set Nasri on his way like Vela did the other night, and he was pretty dim off the ball.

The problem for Carlos is for whatever reason Wenger doesn't seem to trust him, maybe he doesn't work hard enough in training? Either way, if he doesn't make it here it will be down to his attitude.

I just saw a clip of Younga-Mouhani's horror foul on Matias Concha (it's pretty graphic, so don't click if you can't handle it):

Apparently it didn't even merit a yellow card. It's one of the most shocking challenges I've ever seen. He's deliberately going for the leg.

Disgusting "tackle".

You might want to warn a few of the squeamish of it's graphic nature, mate.

Yeah, good idea.

It's shocking stuff. You can clearly see how he adjusts his foot just to catch the player. I wonder what the aftermath will be. Someone close to the club supposedly said that Concha might have to amputate the leg, but it's just a rumour so far.

I don't know what you're talking about.

😆

I couldn't ignore it a second time.

didnt watch the vid, sick of seeing legs snap. what league was this in?

Yeah, you're probably better off not watching it. It's reminiscent of Witsel's challenge on that polish lad last year in the belgian league. This happened in 2nd Bundesliga. I don't think I've ever seen anyone go into a challenge with such an obvious intent to injure his opponent apart from Roy Keane that one time.

Dunno if these have been posted or not..

and

Clever from Roberto Carlos: But check how big Ronaldo is now at 8 seconds! :o

That second is one of the longest distance actual strikes (as opposed to punts) I've ever, ever seen. Quite incredible.

Bold Tone, you need to see that Hyuri goal from other angles to really appreciate it

I'd be pissed, if my Sunday league teammates defended like that.

The defender wearing number 36 was made to look an idiot not once but twice.

I think it's sad that Brazilian football is played in front of such paltry crowds.

😆
Even funnier when you consider he is going to get trolled with that vid for the rest of his life.

Touch of offside there too. Not that it mattered.
