Bit tastey this.. The technique to hit that considering how high the ball has dropped from and how long he's had to think about it is absolutely unreal.

Was debating just slapping it in the 'general football news' thread but probably not quite appropriate. Could perhaps turn this thread in to somewhere to post eyecandy goals from other leagues or something.

Both goals but particularly the first one are great. Cannot believe the first one though, I imagine it'll be rather underrated by most, derided as merely a speculative fluke but if you just watch him set himself up whilst the player is running towards him...stunning, just stunning.

Think that he mishit it personally.

That first one....sick

what a shot. hard to tell if he mishit it. it didnt have a lot of pace on it and ended up being lobbed over the keeper, which is a totally different technique from your usual volley with the laces. then again, it didnt look like he was going for power.

anyone think the keeper could've done better?

I can only see links if I click on edit.
I'm using FF.

Does anyone else wish that we'd sold Vela instead of Eduardo?

That first goal is deliberate. No doubt about it, the way he shapes his body, and brings his foot around the ball. Fantastic.

To an extent, I think Eduardo suffers the same problem that Vela does in that he wasn't suited to our formation shift. Both our players who should be playing centrally but don't really have the physical attributes to lead the line. So they get pushed out on the wing where they're not all that productive.

I'm pleased that it's working out for Eduardo but there was absolutely no sign that he was going to recover last season. You could easily argue also, that it's the change in scenery that is doing him good and mentally, he can move on from that horrific injury.

As for Vela, I still think people are being a bit hasty in their judgement. I think we can all be concerned that his development has slowed somewhat but it doesn't help that Wenger has barely played him the past few seasons. I thought he looked quite positive when he came on against Donetsk, so I hope he can push on from there.

Think Vela and Eduardo are the same kind of player, goal poachers but only works well in a 4-4-2 position. Both of them would excel in any other team other than us because we setup in such an exclusive way that only certain kind of player works well in it.

Eduardo is given much more freedom to do his tricks and dribble solo and thats where he impressed. In our team you are asked to pass pass pass instead of taking players on so in that sense Eduardo staying wouldn't have helped us a single bit, but him leaving boosted his career. Also thinks Vela staying is the right choice than Eddy staying mainly because Vela is a much brighter prospect and Eduardo compared to Vela in that ineffective wing position isnt any different

Not a goal clip, but I found the thread title very fitting:

One shouldn't really laugh, but It's so fucking mean! 😆 Pedersen is one of those players who could use a proper beating every now and then too.

He probably could have punched him harder?
I'd say he was holding back

Haha. The punch is so brilliant. Pow in the stomach. And then he looks around for a murder weapon to finish the job.

😆

Barton is mental, loved the commentary too.

The reaction on his face after the shoulder brush is hilarious. The shocked look of "he didn't just do that did he?" on his face is priceless. Pederson also looks scared afterwards as if he's begging a school bully not to beat him up.
