We shouldn't be selling anyone that's important, absolutely. You guys forget how hard is it to integrate another new player into the team after one important one leaves. Furthermore, Cazorla is probably our most important player for most part of the season alongside Alexis, especially in big matches. All the talk about pointless formation on paper and leaving Santi out is rubbish. His work rate, distribution, changing angle of passage play, interceptions etc are always overlooked here. Not to mention it's so vital to have such experience in the side.
Let us build on this season, keep everyone important, add 1 or 2 world class player into the squad. Santi is a player we can afford to keep, and probably should encourage him to retire here, like Rosicky, like Arteta. Their experience is always vital for young players to model on.
The selling Wilshere talk is bullshit as well. I am of the opinion that he had a better season than Ramsey in the first half when he was fit, and people often forget how good he is whenever he is injured. I think we need a stat to show Wilshere's winning rate without Ramsey in the XI and with Ramsey in the XI. It's more about the balance of the formation than Wilshere's ability.
