Purely physical I reckon, if he's in anyway frustrated though it's probably with himself.
Doesn't strike me as the type of character who blames others for his own drop in form.

I think he's trying too hard to impact the game and drag the team forward.
I think he's overplaying his role and becoming counter productive in the final 3rd as a result,
but he keeps trying because he knows he can/has done it already, whereas he sees planks like Giroud frakking things up.

AW has changed the team drastically sever times during his tenure - most recently in the summer of 2011.
Me thinks it's definitely time to look at changing the manager.

There is something rotten in Ashbhrton. Normally, I'd say blow up the team because of institutionalised mediocrity. However, we've seen this shit enough times to know that Wenger will just do it again and give us new Reyeses, new Denilaons and new Gallases. He's a rubbish manager. The only solution is to sack him. I'd actually sack him right now to send a message that we will not stand for this kind of garbage. I honestly don't care if we finish top 4 and keep him. There is nothing interesting about seeing this bullshit every year. Finish 2nd in group, get knocked out in last 16. Scrape top 4. Give the team to Bouldie, tell him to man up. And then hunt for a manager starting today. And be willing to take a risk on the bloke we select.

Perhaps not so much during The Highbury Era, but more so since the move and the promotion of the development project to the 25 man squad. He has talked previously of the need to keep 1-2 places open so as to provide playing time for developing players.

Waste of time blaming our players until we've seen them under a manager who knows what he's doing. We've got enough quality to be much more competitive than we are, simple as that.

Sanchez's best form has come with Welbeck upfront. Maybe Giroud doesn't suit Sanchez either, not just Ozil.

Or maybe it's just a coinkydink 🙂

Well theres no reason he should have followed our recently history and patterns closely before he joined us.
When all new signings talk about how excited they are about joining such a famous club and how they are looking forward to winning lots of trophies they sound hopelessly naive and deluded to us, you can always nearly pick the moment they wise up.

IMO we still need a spine that is fit for purpose and compliments each area of the pitch to work together as a spine does.
GK - CB - CM - CF/ST goal scorer.
No development players yet to reach their potential.
No players playing out of position or from wide - the spine needs to be central not curved.

Heh, I remember years ago Capi waffling on about wingers or such shit, when I pointed out that peripheral positions were of less importance then the spine of a team he dismissed my knowledge of the game in the way he does......

IMO we've had no cohesive spine since 07/08.

The development midfield of 2008 was an absolute cluster that effectively ripped the guts out of the team, and AW has been struggling with his socialist 'collective' approach to Total Football and Player Intelligence ever since. He keeps adding more idealistic 'solutions' that whilst looking good on paper, only serve to make the waters more muddied/complicated to execute well, and are often compromises rather than directly addressing the fundamental/core issue.

IMO this is one of the key lessons that has not been directly addressed let alone learned.

He's basically become a millionaire by getting massages and working out in the gym for the last five years. Sucks about his career, but the guy has it unbelievably good by any human standards. It will be great to finally be rid of him.
