These Chelsea - Arsenal comparisons really highlight two things
First, they have a better starting line-up. Most of us are landing somewhere between 7 and 9 Chelsea players walk into a joint team with Sanchez and Kos being our definites
Second, their squad is much better thought out. While we sit here debating where Sanchez, Walcott, Ozil, Cazorla et al play, there is no such debate about Chelsea. We know what their primary formation is and who fits where in it.
These two things are strategic complements. Mourinho has clarity about his system and he is able to invest his money towards giving him the very best starting 11 for that system. Until Wenger gains real clarity about how he wants to play, we will find it difficult to really optimise our spend.
