I don't judge a team's ability to score goals by simply looking at the 'goals for' column at the end of the season. I look at its ability to score the 1-0 when it's 0-0, or the 3-2 in the dying minutes ie a team that can consistently score goals when it needs it the most. Teams that can do that usually have top quality match winners on their books. The Mancs for example always have the resources to score that 1 goal they need; if it's 0-0 they'll score the 1-0 in the end, if it's 3-3 they'll score the 4th goal in the dying minutes etc
We lack that quality, not enough top quality match winners. We've got players who can get u goals in high scoring games or when it's end to end stuff, but struggle when it's tight, tactical, very little space etc We've got little imagination in our front line, we need a migician, or a special player that can do the unthinkable and can consistenlty score goals out of nothing.
