I think he's played like that for a while to be fair (I said so before the game yesterday too). It's just that we've been winning lately so people don't tend to focus on it much.

He was just as bad against Dortmund away. Think it's nonsense to say he didn't get service or support too, he's a 6ft 4in massive target man, he's supposed to be able to turn shit service in to good service and make the ball stick. If he can't do that then we might as well go and get a striker who can run, get in behind teams, work the channels better and basically do all the stuff that Giroud is shit at.

Agree, apart from the two CL games at home Giroud has been garbage for the best part of 6 weeks. He hit a purple patch early on in the season.

He works hard and holds the ball up, so does that dude at Sunderland and various other average strikers.

Let's not lower our high standards for nothing. Wright, Anelka, Bergkamp, Henry and RvP. That is the benchmark for Arsenal strikers. I don't accept anything less.

If you want to win titles and CL's you need a world class striker.

Theo is too hot and miss and is one of the most annoying Arsenal players I've ever seen.

Podolski is the best striker we got. He needs to sort out his fitness though and play 100 per cent not the 85 per cent he usually does.

In Jan we should sign Benteke and be done with it (assuming Suarez is a no go).

Theo's got more potential than Podolski and his pace scares defences
He'd be less "hot" and miss if he had a proper injury free run in the team.

Walcott has his flaws but there's no doubt he's a vital member of our squad. Massive goal threat, such a weapon.
