It's a tough one between Arteta and Flamini. And Walcott and Podolski.
I look at that and I think... innit great to have options? Particularly ones that are not Eboue, or Gervinho, or Denilson etc...
Podolski's back in a couple of weeks and he will desperately want to play, and ideally start almost every game. World Cup year - potentially his last with the young talent Germany have. Cazorla also needs to play. Walcott's place in the England team is not in threat because the squad is garbage and Oxlade Chamberlain has a long term injury.
Theo needs to up his game to the level of the winter months last season or he's getting benched...asssuming Cazorla and Podolski stay fit.
Back in a couple of weeks? Thought he was out for 3 months?
League stats from last year.
Walcott - 24 starts (+8 sub), 14 goals, 10 assists. Podolski - 25 starts (+ 8 sub), 11 goals, 9 assists. Cazorla - 37 starts (+1 sub), 12 goals, 11 assists.
Nothing interesting, tbh.

Maybe he is, but there's been some news of an early return.

Wenger hasn't said anything though so maybe I'm jumping the gun.

Goes to show Walcott vs Podoslki isn't a choice that needs to be made. They'll both probably play a similar number of games again.
Cazorla played more than half of last season in midfield. With the arrival of Özil, he is likely to more or less permanently operate from the wing. In effect, that probably means that a choice between Walcott and Podolski HAS to be made.

How much did Gervinho play last season?
I still think they can both play a similar number of games. Podolski will have to play CF quite a bit too.
Chambo is a serious option for wide right and left too

I don't think there has to be a definite decision between one, or the other. Surely a team, with the choices we have in the squad now (or will have when on that utopian day when everyone is available), can be picked on form, fitness, who's impressed in training- or who has the compromising photo of Arsene Wenger?
Or if their surname starts with D and ends in Y.
Lol. Cutting, Capi, cutting.

He's still well behind those 2 for now.
Still a serious option though
Big Daddy Per 🙂 Podolski always looks so unbelievably happy
team photo without the watermarks:
Bit big maybe 🙂
😆 Giroud and his love for the camera and Jenko with his deep suspicion
