Thinking the first eleven looks absolute class on paper, even with carrying a few lesser guys. Not too shabby down to about 14-15 players either.

It's too bad that Podolski and Chamberlain went down so early. This team is reallly starting to come together.

It is. Class striker and a bit of decent depth and we are challenging on all fronts.

I actually think we have pretty decent depth now. Just need an additional top player or two. The key issue is not to have Ramsey and Arteta out at the same time, or Giroud and Podolski, which is why everyone's a bit iffy at the moment. But just looking at the squad for a second you realise that Wilshere, Rosicky, Flamini, Chamberlain and Vermaelen will be on the fringes of this team, along with either Walcott or Poldi. That's a pretty great bench to have. That could easily have been the spine in our starting eleven two years ago.

Or to put it this way, this is what one would assume our team looks like when everyone's available:

Bench: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Flamini, Wilshere, Rosicky, Podolski, Chamberlain
Players stuck in the stands: Viviano, Monreal, Jenkinson, Diaby, Bendtner, Miyaichi

That's better than we've looked at any point since 07/08. In terms of depth it's probably the best we've looked since 05/06.

Can you imagine this team with Llorente up front? We should have gone out of our way to try to sign him last summer.

Him and Giroud is the same type of player, we need something different

Only way they're similar is they can both play as centreforwards. Llorente's so much better and more developed in his all-round game.

I was wondering why the squad looks so much stronger this season, and the biggest difference for me is Ramsey. He's gone from being a figure that made you sigh seeing in the starting line-up, to a player that I'd gladly buy for £20m+. Jack being back and fit is also a big help. Diaby and Coquelin were key squad members at the start of last season, big difference.

Per and Koscielny's partnership is also another big difference, they now work really well together whereas last season there was still a lot of uncertainty. The left back position has gone from being a weak area to one of our strongest.

That would have been the ticket right there! If I had reservations about one first teamer right now though it would be Szczesny. Now would be a great time for him to step his game up.

Zlatan is a ball hog and a cunt, he wouldn't work here as he would want the ball constantly and everything would have to go through him. Wrong mentality for a Wenger team that prides and works on cohesion.

Having said that, I think his feet are too big to be a football player. He'd make an excellent basketball player though with this big hands.

zlatan was a ball hog 10 fucking years ago. have you seen him play at all recently? 17 assists last year in the cl and l1.
