He seems like an extremely determined young man.

I like his touch. Great long shot on him too. Also leaves the pitch in a great fashion, the way he gave his team-mate the high five. Proper Arsenal. Real shame we didn't sign him up on a longer deal...

😆 He honestly wasn't a bad player for the reserves. He was a bit short on fitness and stamina after being out for so long but his technique and link-up play was quality. Scored a few neat goals too.

Somewhat tangential but Diaby's finishing is underrated. I'd say that he's better than Rosicky, Denilson (not difficult) and possible a smidge superior to Cesc in that department.

He looks to have lost his confidence in front of goal. Lately he's had plenty of opportunity to have a crack but he either opts for a safe pass or takes too long before releasing and gets blocked, this was glaring when he played as AM while Cesc was injured. He really needs to find that eye for goal again.

Nasri v Man City. Probably my favourite individual performance of the season so far. Shit music though.

why would you use that music for a football video?

😆

Not sure I've ever seen a football video with appropriate music.

I can see meeeeeee in that vid after Niks goal. I aint even going to try describe it though.

What impresses me the most in that video is the amount of defensive work he puts in. I felt he worked hard when watching the game too but you don't really appreciate just how hard until you study him closely.

Definitely Klaus. People scoffed at the notion of him playing as DM and whilst that would be a waste of his talents, his defensive game is generally underrated by our fans.

I agree said the same thing on A-M.

It also shows how well he passes and moves, only that he should me making more penetrative runs behund the defence rather than passing and moving towards the centre. With his finishing ability he can score loads.

Not quite Arsenal-related but something that no doubt expresses the shared hurt of men up and down the British Isles:

any Youtube link to yesterdays highlights?

Not Youtube, but Daily Motion:

Just as an fyi, footytube.com usually has highlights the next day.

101greatgoals.com is a good site too for highlights, goals and post-match interviews.

Thanks for that. Had been wanting to see the foul on Bendtner in the first half (2 mins 5 secs). Goes to show these commentators only see what they want to.

see, that would require effort on my part.. homey don't play that.. 😃

ok, saw the highlights.. Naughty naughty Bendtner on Theo's first goal.. (tee hee).. and what a blast for Nik's goal.. that was a great shot.. Snes looked good from the couple saves they showed.. (they didnt show the punch at the end though, which i kind of wanted to see)...

It was Williamson that Bendtner "ran into", wasn't it? I'm pretty sure it was revenge for the situation earlier in the game where Williamson brought down Bendtner off the ball to make sure he wouldn't get first on an excellent cross from Walcott. That one would have pretty much guaranteed 1-0 since Theo got the ball past the keeper and everything. No one's talking about that, though.

What comes around goes around, I guess. Newcastle should just keep their mouths shut and accept that they got matched in their own tactics.

Indeed Klaus, what i was getting at on the previous page, and the whole of last night off the forum. That's just the media for you though.

Koscielny vs Newcastle (no music apparently, courtesy of WMG):

His distribution and ability to intercept the ball is amazing.

Anyone got highlights of Saturdays game? Still haven't seen anything of the 1st half.

Lovely quality video, although frankly Arsenal and American rock music go together like chalk and cheese.

That video should come with a "contains heartbreaking material" warning. Nobody told me Paris would be invoooolved 🙁

Watching that video makes me sad.

Extended highlights from the reserve game vs Everton:

That 3rd Arsenal goal by JET was ridiculously good

Someone has made a compilation out of Benik Afobe's performances for Huddersfield Town so far:

Some neat skills in that video. I love the part 50 seconds into the clip where he embarrasses the same defender twice in a row before having a target-bound shot blocked. It's interesting to see how well he measures up against full-grown men too. The lad's only seventeen but he seems to cope just fine physically.

Good find. Think he will have a decent future with us if circumstances permits.

A few good touches, but it seems like overall it wasn't a great performance from him. Maybe it's the quality of the team he's playing on and their typical style of play (I have never seen Norwich play to my knowledge), but he seems to just kick it up the field and hope the striker can latch onto it. With that said, he does seem to have a good physical presence about him.

I really don't like his reactions when calls don't go his way though like 5:15. Sure, it was probably a corner, but his reaction is completely egoistical. And not the good kind of ego like Chesney has, but a petulant kind of ego that can sometimes do more harm than good.

I thought he was superb. Don't mind his reactions either. He plays with a lot of passion, so the emotions are bound to come out. Not to mention that he should have got both the corner and the throw-in. It's easier learning to control emotions than to add hunger and commitment to your game, mind.

Let's hope he keeps this up. If he keeps impressing, I'm sure he will find a Premiership side to go on loan next season. Then he can really force himself into Wenger's plans.

I love that he's tenacious, agile, pretty quick, has good stamina and doesn't shy away from physical battle. With the inevitable physical development he will go through in the next few years, I can see him turning into just the type of midfielder I like best.
