Anyway, the point is, youtube compilations haven't been only for exceptional performances for quite some time now. It's more to give a general idea of what the player is about. Also, it doesn't hurt to have some perspective. In this case, he came on as a substitute at the European Championships and tried hard to make a difference. Perhaps a little too hard at times, but I don't judge him for that.
Regardless of whether things worked for him or not, there are things you can extract from that video. He has good technique/touch, he knows what's going on around him, doesn't dwell on the ball, tracks back, can tackle and has a decent shot on him. For me, that means he's good enough to be a squad player next season.
