Elneny was excellent from the get-go. It's a matter of starting XI composition, in the end.
Yup. I think everyone felt that way at the start but the longer it took Wenger to give him his debut and any meaningful minutes the more people started questioning his quality given he could t get a look in ahead of Flamini. But he's looked quality for his first appearance. Reminded me of a younger Arteta, the one who played further up the field rather than the one who ended up with us. Pass and move, only takes 1 or 2 touches before releasing it, has a great engine and is also pretty decent at supporting the attack.
Xhaka, Elneny, Coq, Cazorla, Ramsey (even if you forget about Wilshere) is a quality set of players with a big range of skill sets. To be honest I really don't know who I want in CM or if I'd rather want us to play with 3 in the middle. I think the fact that us fans are not even sure who they'd want to be first choice in midfield says a lot about the quality and depth we have there. Now if only we'd had the same embarrassment of riches in the forward line then we'd be up there as the favourites.
