Thanks for the videos, Klaus.
Alan Davies' quip about Nicklas Bendtner was brilliant. ๐ In fact Alan was brilliant in general. We really are lucky as a club to have some very good celebrity fans who we can get involved with the club.
The Miquel vs Orient video is a good watch too. Really confirms what I thought and saw at the ground - technically he looked a class above most of our boys out there. Really sweet left foot, and incredibly composed and calm in possession, completely trusting his ability. He showed good reading of the game to cut off a lot of danger at source, which is why it's a little unfair to say Orient never really tested him - there are a lot of early interceptions, headers and tackles in that video. We knew that about him anyway, he reads the game very well, I've always said that, the question is will he read in well enough at the highest level to compensate for a lack of pace and agility? I'm still not sure, but if there is one thing Kyle Barltey's progression has taught me it's that players at that age can potentially improve so much with physical growth and first team experience, that at 18 it's very difficult to assess how far they can go. Bartley is 2 yards quicker than he was 18 months ago, so much more committed and just stronger and more dominant. If Miquel makes a similar progression we'd have another very, very good centreback on our hands.
