He would have been a true great in world football had he not missed so many seasons through injuries with us.

No doubt about it. Amazing talent. First time we saw it was at highbury when he scored a great goal against us with sparta prague. Lost a lot of the zip and energy after. I know some don't like players taking too many touches but I think it's a good sign of technique when a player is able to run at speed constantly taking little touches. Giggs is the best I've seen live, I don't think Rosicky would've been far behind. Injuries have completely robbed him. And now we can cry about the career Jack should've had.

There's a little mystique in what Rosicky "could have been", and in some ways that will build his legacy. If you're really into the game it's hard not to love him as he represents so much that is great - he puts a shift in, sees passing lanes few others do, plays at tempo, and scores some bangers.

Read in 2008 in a Cesc interview that a lot of our boys always try to learn that technique from him. 😆

So many misplaced passes in there though. He over hit almost everything. Maybe he was just a little too keyed up? Some good stuff as well. I always get the feeling that Aaron and Bale aren't the best of buddies whenever I see them play for Wales.
