I definitely prefer Baines, Cole and Zabaleta to Gibbs. Even Evra who has declined defensively is a much more potent attacker. But, Gibbs doing well for his age and has shown definite improvement, last year.
Like Asajoseph said, there is no area of his game where he is extra-ordinary. Even Clichy had the blistering pace that proved very useful at occasions. Gibbs can add this edge only at attacking play and he needs to become world class in that aspect before he can be counted as an elite player in his position.
