IF suarez honestly thinks he has a leg to stand on with his clause in any way and wants to leave he should have handed in a transfer request this morning and started legal processes over breach of contractual clauses. Anything else and he is just posturing as much as liverpool football club are.

Anyone still remember or bring up the grandiose claims we made about selling cesc and nasri in the same window, or what we would do with RvP? CLubs say one thing but do another in the end all the time, 'pool would look decent with sturridge and coutinho and having a unmotivated player knocking round the dressing room is disruptive and he isn't going to get you points. Better to galvanize a team after getting rid of the player and using the funds to bring in players who will move in the last few weeks.

Unless behind the scenes things are radically different to how they appear in Henry's comments then I can't see why we'd continue pursue this.

Substitute Torres for any other random name you want, the essence of the question remains the same. Do you pay whatever the selling club asks for, or at some point do you reconsider and look at other targets?

With top class forward seemingly impossible to sign what should we focus on now? I guess top class winger/ss like Alexis Sanchez would improve us more than Michu/Benteke level forward.

In fact if we pull out Sanchez level player behind Giroud and sign one of Gustavo/Bender I wouldn't be too disappointed come September.
