Maybe not necessarily in Wrighty's permutation but to be in with a shot of the Premiership and go further in the CL we probably need about 6 top players, i.e better than what we currently have (winning the CL would require a new manager)

We are a team of above average players but not championship winning players.

I don't expect all that in one window, but yes I agree with his general point Suarez on his own is a waste of money and we won't win silverware because we've signed Suarez. Further more, as to the wisdom of Suarez coming here from the players perspective, the only reason he is considering us is because we are the biggest club to show concrete interest in him. I bet you if it were Chelsea or Real that showed an interest he would have gone on strike. That we the fans expect him to move on in a year or 2 shows that even we deep down don't beleive there is silverware to be had at Arsenal, nobody leaves a club that is winning!! While the argument is not strong enough to say don't bother going to Arsenal (we are still better than Liverppol) I can see where Wrighty is coming from from Suarez's point of view and I rarely agree with Wrighty.

Liverpool are going nowhere. If we're spending £40m+ on Suarez it shows a change for us that players will pay attention to. Moving to us makes absolute sense from Suarez perspective. We are a bigger club than Liverpool now.

I agree that it shows ambiton but it's not enough it has to be followed with more otherwise....

Ian Wright wears 2 hats, there's Ian Wright the fan who wants his club to succeed and wants the best players to come here and there's Wright the ex-professional who looks at things without emotion, knows the areas that need strengthening and can see we are far off the mark. When Wright tells you he won't advise Suarez to come here what he is saying is as a top footballer in his time who could have gone to any club, he wouldn't have chosen Arsenal if we were in this state all those years ago!

It did actually, since he advised him not to move to Arsenal, he's won I EPL title, 2 FA cups and 1 league cup + more money that he would have earned here. If he had moved to Arsenal he would have won nothing for the priviledge of enduring our Socialist pay structure.

Every fucker going knows Wright Phillips made a big career mistake by going to Chelsea. He was one of the most exciting talents in the country and a year later he was a nobody.

Djimi Traoré has a CL medal, Hleb picked up quite a few medals with Barca, trophy count doesn't mean everything.

you started about how his career panned out because he did not come here. I merely pointed out that he has won more trophies than he would have if he came here and then you go on about being tedious hence I said don't start it you can't handle the truth.

As far as the newly introduced point about exciting talents, please we had a whole bunch of them....how did their careers pan out under Wenger? No matter how much of a career mistake you think it was by going to Chelsea, coming here would have been even worse. Like I said, he has 4 trophies (every domestic trophy EPL, FA, CC twice, CS) and more money, the only other things missing for a professional footballer are a CL medal and an European/world cup medal, explain to me how he would have acheived any of those at Arsenal?
