A top class creative player is certainly what we needed based on the evidence of last season. Still think we would have benefited more from a top class striker, but that is beside the point really. We tried for top class strikers, and when that didn't materialize, for various reasons, we did the next best thing; we signed Özil who will help us get more out of the strikers we have.
The signing of Flamini will prove excellent as well. He is a very good player, and is tactically and positionally a lot better than when he left. Questionmarks over his ability to stay fit though. He certainly provides an option for Arteta, which we have sorely lacked, and since the signing of Özil it won't matter too much that he is significantly worse than Arteta on the ball.
