The club shouldn't even be in a situation where we are discussing the merits of Arsene based on performance against chumps like tottenham whose major ambition is to just do what we are doing right now in cruise mode. Used to be we would judge performance based on actual meaningful achievements such as title runs, cups and trophies and winning big games.
99% of the time now you hear fans, arsenal or not. Describing Wenger's recent achievements with caveats such as "with the resources at his disposal" or that "he has developed world class players", no longer is it that he has a team playing some of the best football in europe or that we were able to break up united strangle hold on the league, go unbeaten etc.
We should only judge him on what is done AKA where is the title tilt if this team has enough quality as you continuously say Arsene? Why are we out of all comps in the same month each and every year followed by a moan about lack of depth yet each year we fail to strengthen? Why do you take a GK out towards the end of the season then reinstate him like nothing happened when there are top Gks out there to buy?
Wish a journalist with some sense would ask these questions along with the most simple one "Do you want to make Arsenal challenge for the league title whatever it takes?"
Honestly don't think he does want to do whatever it takes and uses the high spending of others as an excuse for Arsenal to no longer be in the running.
