right I see where you are coming from, the problem with that line of thinking is why did we then start with 30 or 35m or whatever it was? secondly it is clear from Suarez's reaction following the 40+1 bid that his camp and our camp thought it was a release clause and not the negotiate in good faith clause you talk about. We are all speculating based on likely probabilities but if you ask 100 people what they think about the +1, given how things have unfolded I'm almost certain the vast majority will say they felt the +1 was intended to secure the player not to start negotiations.
PS: the irony that you now refer to the comnents from the PFA chief to butress your argument but when I mentioned that a few weeks ago, this same you said I was making assumptions on a contract I haven't read and couldn't possibly know what's in it 😆
