Once you reach 30% don't you have to "attempt" to buyout the club, as opposed to actually being obliged to buying it out?

So Kroenke could just buy just 1 share off of some guy for let's say 30k, which would force Usmanov to offer a minimum of 30k for all of the other shares available?

Seems a bit too easy to abuse. You purposefully buy 1 share at an exorbitant price which basically screws it for anyone who subsequently tries to make a takeover bid.

Like Asa says, once you have reached 30% you have to make an offer for the rest of the shares. Whether the others sell up or not is entirely up to them but you have to make them an offer. I believe (not sure if this % is right) once you get to 90% you can force the other shareholders to sell their shares. I can't remember what you have to offer them though.

it's not the price Kroenke paid, the bid price has to be a minimum of the highest price Uzi paid in that period. So no it's not open to abuse in that sense.

Just to add that @90% the acquirer is not obliged to acquire the remaining shares...just that he has the right to. But a minority shareholder has the right to require that you buy him out @ the highest price paid if you reach the 90% level.

Not that the AST is the authority on anything, but their recent survey showed that Wengie had a clear support among their members. My own experience also tells me that this forum isn't representative of Arsenal supporters as a whole.

Juve's financial position post the stadium transition, should give out some pointers as to how difficult can the short term future be in terms of cash availability. Would not be too far fetched to say that we too have suffered from the same.

Juve are lucky that all other competition in the Serie A are in equally bad shape financially, whereas during our big crunch, we have had to compete with unlimited oil money and a general period of heavy investment by foreign based owners in the league.

I am of the opinion that the board have set him targets in line with the financial constraints, and Wenger has been able to achieve them. He would have been long sent packing if he had 50-60m available to him and he would have deliberately not spent it to achieve self vindication while using Arsenal FC as a guinea pig for 8 years.

It's incredibly representative - utterly fickle! They came up with a survey that said the opposite a few months ago.

Sorry mate, no offence meant, but you're definitely a serial abuser of rhetoric who prefers to describe things in a way that will provoke an emotional response.

That's why you say things like "Wenger is a glorified bean-counter" instead of "Wenger emphasises cautious financial management". The underlying truth stays the same, but the way it's presented differs considerably.
