I don't buy the whole idea that Gaizidis is trying to pressure Wenger into spending. He always says there is loads of money at the start of the window but by then end he'll be talking about how we can't sign 2 or 3 £25m players. Its like the whole "if Arsene wants to buy a £35m player then he can" yeah but he has to sell a couple and can't sign anyone else to do it. And if he did get an agreement for a top class £35m player would the board pay the sort of wages those players require? Of course not, its all fucking smoke and mirrors. Same shit every year.

I'm paraphrasing as I can't be bothered to go back but he said something like "of course we can, we can do more" when he was asked if we could afford a £30m player on 200k per week.

I do genuinely think that IG is putting pressure on AW this summer. He must be sick of all the abuse he gets for what Wenger chooses to do.

City have already spent 45 million and still in hunt for Cavani and Isco. Chelsea by all accounts are preparing for a big summer. Schurrle is just the begining.

It must be frustrating for AW to see them chew up all top players!

Chelsea and City need to actually sign some serious players if they want to win the league. Neither look like potential champions at the moment.

We have an opportunity to put ourselves in contention. Very unlikely we'll make the required moves though.

Chelsea, as things stand, has an amazing forward line. They are a capable CM or CB away from being potentially excellent. With last season under their belts to gel I expect their forward line to step it up a few notches next season.

Chelsea were very average last season and were carried by lampards surge on goals. Their midfield of Oscar and Hazard won't win them the league.
