I'm not talking about his emotions i'm talking about his punditry. Ok, he was wrong on that bit about us having to be happy, but everything else was spot on.

No he said more than that. His whole implication was very positive. He talked of the consistency we've shown and the stadium and how this will be seen in the future should we dominate for a while.

Most other analysts just say we've won nowt for 8 years and the the tide will be turning to Spurs.

He was very pro Arsenal in the way that Redknapp isn't. He's more positive of Arsenal than most of us. I'm normally in the there's no good future camp.

Like I say he repeated some well worn facts, the fact that he praises our way of doing business and thinks we've got a solid basis to build going forward means zip to me.
Redknapp is a complete and utter moron so a nodding dog would look perceptive next to him

I take your point about Arsenal fans having to shell out. I aim my anger at Wenger and the board's arrogance on that though.

Wenger and the board have a chance to redeem themselves this summer, I don't think they will though. All these transfer rumours imo are just the usual bullshit before season ticket renewals.

Saying that I'll probably still spend most of the summer discussing potential targets......

I expect to think we're going to make some serious signings, and then to read some Wengering which kills that expectation, and then to keep looking for that one rumour that's both exciting and plausible, and obsess over it until the player signs for Juve or something.
Might take a bit of a break before I subject myself to all that though.

Ah - but you're missing the fun part: it doesn't all start with selling our best player (or passing the entire summer fearing that inevitability, trying to convince yourself it might not happen, or that there will be a silver lining/replacement/ positive twist in the plot).
So it could actually be the first time we only add to what we have (ignoring shit players, of course - their departure a plus on it's own).
Now that would be strange.
