we are going round in circles because you don't seem to understand what I am saying. It's not that your idea is a bad one, it is a good one on paper but if Wenger fails to listen to him as is likely to be the case then what? If you are afraid to sanction Wenger then he becomes another yes man on the board?

Let's face it no one of the stature that can challenge Wenger is coming on the board while Kroenke is in charge. Dein, assuming he still has the influence he had many moons ago can only come in if Uzmanov gains control. If Uzi gains control, the whole question of ambition becomes redundant.

A man who has won 4 fa cups, two doubles and had an invincibles season is entitled to any amount of control he wants.

Look at the club before he arrived

1994-95, 12th in the league, fa cup third round, league cup quarter finals, cwc runners up

1993-94, 4th and we won the cwc

To be fair in 92-93 we won the cup double but we finished in 10th place.

1991-92 4th

1990-91 We won the league.

Okay we won the league in 91 but since then we were nowhere close to winning the league and finishing 10th and 12th until wenger came.

The boss came in and transformed the place and turned us into a European powerhouse. In fact the only reason people are so angry with him now is because of the artificially high standards he set for himself.

Give him all the control he wants but give him a transfer budget as well that will allow him to build a team that can compete instead of the chump change the board currently provides for him.

He was freeeezing and had a good view of the pools of empty seats pockmarking the stands.
Obviously not enough for us to be rid of him, but I like the thought that he might have been slightly tortured on his day out of the home

You're not understanding me. The very act of bringing in a big football personality on the board to work with and oversee Wengers work would signify a change in attitude. And make it clear that Wenger must work within this system.

Pointless saying our board would never do that, that much is obvious, because they havnt.
