Don't believe a word of Goal.com

I find it incredibly hard to come around the idea that Wenger is serious about Suarez.

I know anything is possible but I'm astounded at the number of otherwise sensible Arsenalers who give these transfer rumours a second thought, we all know Wenger will never spend that sort of money- If anything he's getting more conservative with age.
There's going to be a few disappointed fans in August.

Standard now reporting the increased bid.

Has the guardian reported on this at all?

Not sure how I feel about this one, on one hand he really is a proper cunt but he is an exceptional player as well! You rarely see someone who every time he gets the ball is looking to make something happen. When he is in or around the penalty box he scares the hell out of defenders and last season had it not been for his antics imo was player of the season. Needs to sort his act out though, always looking for a dive and other stupid behaviour doesn't really sit that well with me but I think he can change.

Dean aka AFCAMDEN saying our Suarez bid is 100% true.

I think its 100% bs, reported £40m valuation is just too much for us also. Must be a way to force Reals hand on Higuain. I would take Suarez at £30m maximum, going higher seems like wasting money as im sure there are other players available for that money.

If he wasn't such a knob he'd be easily worth £40m. Absolutely brilliant player, himself and Santi would be a nightmare for defenders to deal with - the two best players in the league when in tight spaces, in my opinion.

That's because they're afraid he'll have them for lunch

He can singlehandedly change the way we faces team, so versatile, allows us to have so many attacking option simply by signing one player. The amount of havoc he creates when he runs at defenders is overwhelming. Imagine the amount of spaces he will open up for our other players. Walcott would thrive as well with him.

Been awhile since we have someone that can run with the ball well and bring the ball forward. I would take him for 40m. Its a clause as well right? Meaning if anyone bids 40 Liverpool can't reject?

I've seen nothing about him having a release clause.

The best we can hope for if we sign him is that he mends his ways once here. However, a person simply doesn't change like that.

I'll be disappointed if we do sign him. The people saying we are spoilt for thinking like that don't get the point.

Surely we are not spending this kind of money on an idiot like Suarez?

he's a great player, who cares if he's a bit of a tit.

He's not a bit of a tit, he's a massive tit who gets himself in trouble on a regular basis.

The more I think about it, the more this one seems like a bluff. Wenger is notoriously stingy with his money, so why would he take a risk on such a headcase? Makes no sense.

Single handedly can keep two CBs on their toes at all times and his dribbling skills are imo the best in the league. Had it not been for Suarez I don't think Liverpool would of even finished in the top half of the league

There are a lot of players who do a lot worse off the pitch to be fair. Apart from the diving, biting and racism he is a lovely guy :p

Hopefully 😃

Would rather we get Higuain and add that extra 10M for buying a quality midfielder. Wenger won't make another big signing if we get Suarez for 40M.

Just from a footballing perspective we'd get him for 35m, Suarez and Cazorla would be a nightmare to play against.
