Normally I'd just post this in the "rumors" thread but this guy is supposed to be some talent

According to the French radio station RMC, Arsenal have contacted Ligue 1 side St Etienne in regards to their centreback Kurt Zouma.
I don’t have any further details apart from that at present as the piece hasn’t made its way on to their site.
Zouma is an 18 year old French player so he’s ticking a load of boxes already in the ‘is this likely or just more transfer nonsense?’ sweepstakes.
Born in Lyon, Zouma made his way to St Etienne in 2009 from Vaulx en Velin and made his breakthrough in to the senior side in the 2011-12 season.
He has represented France at u16 and u17 level and took part in the 2011 FIFA u17 World Cup as well as the 2011 UEFA European u17 Football Championships.
At the end of May it was reported that the player, who signed a deal with St Etienne until 2017, was all set for a move to Russia to join Anzhi with Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all amongst his admirers. At the time it was said that they would pay £8.5m for him. I’m not really sure what is happening with that link.

There were whispers a day or two ago that Coq may be on his way there.

If we're getting a CB I want someone his age to be 4th choice. Kos, Per, and Verms is fine really.

Asa says yes - this guy is a huge talent. Varane-calibre...

Who's he like? Koloish, sol?

Only seen him once that I can remember, and to be honest I can barely remember. I just remember a good, extremely strong looking teenage defender - not much else. Mostly going on reputation.

France has a track record of producing excellent talent over the years. They've gone through a bleak spot in the last 4-5 or so, and not much has really come through Ligue 1 for a while, but I see no real reason they won't come back.

The established L1 players are mostly cack, I think, but they could still have a bright future in 3-4 years.
