Wouldn't write city off, despite what we saw tonight.
And about ourselves, we need to wait a bit longer. The signs are there for sure, but it is way too early to start dreaming (though not too early to get excited). I know we are going to win things, but to be confident it's happening this year is just silly.
As some said earlier, we'll know much more in a month or two.

I would write chelsea off before city. They lack any sort of decent striker and can't get lukaku back.

Saying that we are what, six games in. Nothing should be noted until we have played a couple of big away games and gone past 1/3 of the season.

I have no idea what the Soccer Power Index is.
From what I can gather they calculate based on past results weighted towards our recent games, with the rest of the season simulated 10, 000 times 😆

So top of the league after 7 games. This despite missing Santi, Theo, Podolski, Chamberlain, and Arteta for the majority of those games. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

My one concern from the first 7 games is the number of chances we're creating each game as it means we're having to be very clinical, but that should be alleviated by the return of the injured lot.

Would have been nice to have kept a couple more clean sheets too. Nitpicking really.

The only bad thing to happen so far is not signing a striker. No complaints otherwise.

Our defense went to sleep a few times , that goal was completely avoidable too. Thats the only disappointing thing. I always felt we could nick one , so a clean sheet was important.

Our last seven PL games from last season - 4 clean sheets 3 goals conceced, 11 scored (5 wins and 2 draws)

Our first seven PL games this season - 1 clean sheet 8 goals conceded, 14 scored (5 wins, 1 loss and a draw)

Even with three of our top scorers from last season missing we've scored more goals which is impressive, mainly down to the improved Giroud, on-fire Ramsey and Özil.

We will improve in attack with Santi, Theo and Podolski available.
In defence the players are fit and available but we need to sharpen up if we're going to hold off the top strikers in the league.

You're right of course as regards the team and even us Dules, but I was referring more to perceived conclusions to be derived from long term statistics.
