all accomplished in the first 500 games of his 1000 game arsenal career. so if you're talking about that phase of his tenure, i would agree: wenger used to be a winner.
in the 2nd half, he has consistently failed to assemble a team that could realistically challenge for the league+CL. he sold his best players and failed to replace them, or if he did, he'd allow another hole to open elsewhere.
no one (except biggus) denies that wenger used to be the man. he's not anymore, and hasnt been for some time now. 1st 500 to the 2nd 500 - just repeat that mantra, as it says it all.
