Dunno, yuv. Maybe something would change, maybe not. Just find Arsenal tediously predictable these days. We either have a tumultuous summer, start shit and finish well, or a stable summer, start well and finish shit. Champions League is the same garbage every year, couple of nice performances but the eventual back door exit to one of the serious contenders. Over it, it's fucking boring, we're like a 10 year-old loaf of bread decomposing. I've never wanted to see us go to shit, but I'm starting to think taking a step back might be the only way to take two forward.

I can see how shuffling the pack could do it - embark on a new road, end Wenger's time, etc.
But I think the temptation with "ooh, we finally lost 4th - now we'll surely wake up" isn't anything of substance. it's more like an undisputed childish mantra, or something that passes as a boredom sigh (bit like Y va says). But when you think about it seriously, much more could go wrong than right. Money isn't going to suddenly get splashed - it's only going to go to a different, more desperate (and certainly less entertaining than that which bores you so much) task.

We were. It was evident, particularly after our first blip in December that we weren't going to follow through without some kind of signing or sea change, if even then.

It's still something of a surprise just how poor we've been though—not just losing but getting thrashed repeatedly etc.

I've reached the point where I want Arsenal to make CL....If that doesn't happen, who knows how Kroenke will respond....That is very scary to me.....Unless Kroenke has an epiphany, things will stay pretty much the same....A possibility for a trophy, a fight for 4th....

Getting top 4 and the FA Cup is clearly a successful season, and a season where progress has been made. Have no idea how anyone can come to a different conclusion.

4th is not good enough when you finish above United. You cannot really call finishing 4th because a main competitor collapsed (which they will undoubtedly fix in the summer, while we wait until deadline day and do nothing) progress. We now even lost a lot of ground to Liverpool.
