This is what happens when you sign players in their late 20's who have never been at the top. Football is the biggest thing in any pro's life, they think constantly about it, they each have their own philosophy about it. And when you go for so long without winning and you spend your career fully understanding you're not the best and you always look up at others then you can never truly believe that you can beat the best.

We need to sign 2 types of players in the summer: 1) young and stupid and make 'em believe they can beat anyone, 2) players who've been there and done it like Ozil.

And no more Cinderlla-type players from France either. "Can you believe he played Ligue 2 football only last year?" Yes, yes i fucking can.

I generally think players have no business talking about the squad needing reinforcements. They get a ton of money to play, and that is what they should do. Focus on your damn self putting in better performances! The shit Santi put us through the other day still makes me angry thinking about! The man has some nerve.

Yeah, but ideally we need to get them a year later than we got Kos. Need to iron out the shit elsewhere. Mangala is the dude to get! Get him in to play with Kos, have Mertesacker as third choice - we are sorted in defense.

We still need to get guys like Kos while they're cheap so we can get guys like Ozil when they're available. We're not City, we can't just buy 16 or 17 ready made star players.

I agree with that Qs, but the problem is that such players shouldn't get serious minutes in their first season.

Agreed on that too. For a few years now I've wanted someone like that in as 4th choice centre half. Get the likes of Costa and Sanogo can have a year like that as 3rd choice striker. Thats how you build a squad and bring players through.
