I can't believe how much I bought into the hype about Arsenal winning the league this season, about how we really had a shot....I've been an anti-Wenger Arsenal fan for a very long time...Did I really think that the team and manager had changed that much....Woe is me....With the addition of Ozil, the leadership of Per, Art, etc., it seemed possible.....When key players started to fall to injuries, it became clear that the squad did not have the quality depth to continue the run for first....But nothing prepared me for the humiliating losses to Citeh, Pool and yes, Stoke....Numbing....
After yesterday's debacle, I throw my hands up in despair and wish that Kroenke would sell the freaking club....I am not a church goer, but when faced with desperate situations, I go around the corner to a church and light candles...My prayer: Allow Wenger to realize he is over the hill, his time at AFC has come and gone. Amen. At the very least, I get some solace from that little gesture....
