Ramsey did well against Napoli but they barely attacked at all. They just sat deep and struggled under pressure. Benitez screwed them over good and proper. We missed him centrally against West Brom.

Would really love to do it and have been thinking about it for a while as I'm obviously not keen on going to Qatar or Russia. Just too much money though.

Does anyone else think that Hummels is a bit over rated ?

He looks fantastic on the ball but whenever I have seen him (especially in the last year or so) he has made some pretty basic mistakes.

Watched the game. The boy was class. 'Twas interesting to see him as the heart and hub of the Welsh team. He isn't really saddled with much defensive responsibility there either.

Right now if I had to pick one out of all our CM's to keep on the bench, it'd be Arteta. Sorry Klaus.

Meh. I don't really care who gets dropped as long as Ramsey plays centrally. Arteta certainly wouldn't be my choice but it's better than playing him and Flamini together.

Would imagine Ramsey-Arteta is the first choice pairing once one of Cazorla or Walcott is back.

A defender that takes a lot of risks. Abit like Koscielny, when it comes off he is brilliant like in the 2nd leg against Madrid at bernebau when they have their backs against the wall

Mexico confirmed for the playoff with NZ despite losing their final game to Costa Rica today. Panama were 2-1 up against USA and 2 minutes from the playoff then USA scored twice in injury time. Got tickets for the 2nd leg in Wellington next month. You'd think it should be over by then though.

I too want Ramsey centrally, but not in Özil's position. You'd push Özil out wide?

I would. Shouldn't limit his influence much. He's a roamer anyway, and does well picking his passes even in tight spaces. Ramsey on the other hand isn't as well rounded on the wings, but gives us that much needed option of a runner from deep, and goals from midfield. Great balance.

It's a very flexible midfield we've got. Full of proper footballers.

You don't spend a truck load of money on the best number 10 in the world just to shunt him out wide. He can play there, obviously, but it is far from optimal.

I've gotten the impression that Özil had to play wide in Real Madrid because they have changed to 4-3-3 and he didn't thrive as much there.

Also, we have the league's (currently) best CM and the world's best AM. I'm against playing both out of those positions. I think playing Özil wide could be a mistake similar to playing Arshavin there, even though Özil would never be that bad.
