We (you the most) have been crying for top quality for each position, for Wenger to spend money to get that quality and what shuts you up temporarily at least, is Flamini for midfield on a free 🙂
No Rohit, thats not me.
I admire Wengers restraint in the transfer feeding frenzy, of course I wish he was less cautious and spend a bit more as I've believed we could afford it but I've always accepted we're not Man Utd, we can't pay 50M for a player and offer him 200K p/w, I'm also not naive and understand that money does not always guarantee success.
No my objection to Wenger is the direction he took the team, the type of football he wanted played and therefore the kind of players he chose.
The (at one stage) almost total neglect of experience and the physical side of the game in favour of youth development and training ground technique.
This imo above all else is the reason for our failure to land a single trophy over the last 9 years.
Flamini on a free (and if reports are to be believed) a wage of 50K p/w is a bargain all Arsenal fans should be delighted with.
He's there to stop teams walking through our midfield and to allow Ramsey and Wilshere to attack more, wouldn't you say it's working?
