Not really, many eyebrows were raised at his appointment (by Fergie), Moyes has won absolutely nothing at top level and has virtually no European experience.
I don't know if he did it because Moyes was always his adoring rent boy or if the canny old vampire wanted someone to follow him that would make him look extra legendary in posterity, but it seems like an extraordinary stroke of good luck for us.
It would have been a disaster if Mourinho had've taken over he'd know how to spend which Moyes doesn't. :glee:
