To be very honest, I believe him when he says that we haven't yet put in the offer.

It is mainly because there hasn't been any news broken by any other source. It has only been Times and Goal dot com bluffing on the Times news.

Now, if we do put in an offer for Fellaini, his people would definitely contact Chelsea and United and may be one or two foreign clubs to check if there is interest from elsewhere. They would try to attract more attention towards the player, if only to get a better wage deal from us. And there has been no leaks or news breaking in from their side.

If the transfer clause has been activated and they are in talks with us, we'd hear more noise.

He only said that we haven't activated Fellaini's release clause. Very careful wording given the rest of the sentence.

I don't believe we've made any approach for Fellaini.
It just doesn't sound remotely like the type of move we'd make.

Been thinking about it today - he'd add positively to our options in midfield, mainly because he's versatile and would therefore allow us to rotate some of our more overworked or fragile midfielders.
Would also mean that Wilshere is given as much time as he needs to fully recover, he ended up being overused and worn out this past season.

Fellaini's a gangly nuisance and a goalscorer, he'd bring something new to our set-up. I've thought myself into thinking this would be a very smart signing.

Also, he said that Jovetic is on our radar but not near top.

Given the sort of players that seem to be available, this can only mean that we seriously want Higuain.

😆

This time last year Ornstein tweeted that van Persie was looking forward to coming back to Arsenal and was keen to stay - a few days later he released THAT statement.

He's not sensationalist at all and can be trusted with repeating the club in question's official stance on a matter, but he does get things wrong sometimes.

Fellaini would be our best forward right now. I'd take that.

What do you think of Fellaini Rick?

I went to our last game versus Everton and fellaini is more impressive live than on screen. The guy is huge. Players bounce off him

Why doesn't anyone ever ask me what I think of a player? Why is it always Ricky and Klaus?

Bloody hipsters.

We like to give other people a chance before you lay down your god like final judgement, Otf. Obviously.

I think it's just another example of how racism has penetrated every part of our society.

What do you think of the rumoured Fellaini offer, Otfgoon? Do you think, we will/have actually bid 22 million pounds for him?

The fuck should I know.

😆
set up-brilliant
execution-fantastic

He also said Sahin was set to join us.

Ornstein may not be an oracle, but I'll have his word over internetz Geoff any day of the week.
